What is Addressable Neon Flex?

Addressable neon flex is a neon flex with control ICs that allow you to control individual LEDs or groups of LEDs. You can control a specific part of the neon flex, which is why it is called “addressable.” Addressable neon flex is also called digital neon flex, pixel neon flex, programmable neon flex, chasing neon flex, magic neon flex, or dream color neon flex.

Applications of Addressable Neon Flex

Addressable led neon lights are ideal for enhancing the atmosphere in architecture. These addressable led neon lights can produce awesome and unique effects from simple to complicated lighting projects to make any architecture stand out.

You can use addressable led neon lights to decorate bars, KTV, stores, and homes.

 

You can use DMX512 or SPI addressable LED neon light to light up the building facades. You can design your lighting effect with the SPI or dmx512 programmable led neon lights.
You can also program the lighting effect using LedEdit or Matrix software platforms.

You can use individually addressable led neon lights for some events, such as concerts celebrating Christmas and New Year.

Type of Addressable Neon Flex?

Addressable LED neon lights are divided into 2 types, SPI addressable neon lights, and DMX512 addressable neon lights.

SPI Addressable Neon Flex

The Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) is a synchronous serial communication interface specification used for short-distance communication, primarily in embedded systems. SPI is used for simple applications. We have two versions of SPI, SPI(single data cable) and SPI (dual data cable).

Simple application, only need a single data cable can complete the transmission of data.

With dual data cable, the main data cable can be automatically switched to the standby data cable when the fault occurs, enhance thereliability of data transmission, which is also called breakpoint resume transmission.

DMX512 Addressable Neon Flex

DMX512 is a standard for digital communication networks commonly used to control lighting and effects. It was initially intended as a standardized method for controlling stage lighting dimmers, which, before DMX512, had employed various incompatible proprietary protocols. It quickly became the primary method for linking controllers (such as a lighting console) to dimmers and special effects devices such as fog machines and intelligent lights.
DMX512 adopts signal differential transmission mode to ensure more vital anti-interference ability and longer transmission distance.

Addressable Neon Flex Specification

DMX512 Address Setting

Before using the DMX512 neon light, you need to set the DMX512 address for the DMX512 neon light by using the DMX512 address editor XB-C100. You only need to set the address once for the DMX512 neon.
